The Passenger Association was established with the aim of systematically improving public transport in Slovenia. In recent years, we have observed a trend of increasing service provision and, consequently, a rise in the number of kilometres operated. The number of passengers is also growing; however, the system still offers significant opportunities for further improvement.
We Observe and Listen
As an association that brings passengers together, we strive for public transport to be planned around the needs of its users, enabling a simple and as pleasant as possible travel experience.
Through our own research, we will in the future substantiate the needs and wishes of passengers and thereby contribute to improvements in public transport.
We Inform and Educate
Public transport is constantly changing—new timetables, fares, road and rail closures, new stops, and traffic arrangements. However, this information often fails to reach passengers.
Therefore, on our website News we will provide clear, timely, and accessible information to ensure that passengers are kept informed about all relevant changes.
We also offer training on how public transport systems operate, planning trips using public transport, and the basics of transport planning.
We Propose and Respond
We submit proposals for the establishment of new public transport lines, the introduction of additional stops, additional departures on existing routes, the optimisation of transfer times, and upgrades to stations and stops, among other measures. We also actively respond to developments in the field of transport in Slovenia.
We Collaborate and Connect
We collaborate with numerous organisations in Slovenia and abroad, and we are proud members of the KTPP – the Coalition for Sustainable Transport Policy.
We Optimise and Help
We seek ways to achieve more integrated and efficient public transport and other forms of sustainable mobility. We provide support in the integration and optimisation of school transport, urban transport systems, demand‑responsive transport, bicycle‑sharing schemes, and similar services.
Because we understand the needs of passengers, we are happy to offer our support, and together we can help create better conditions for sustainable mobility for the population.
